‘Pale Blue Skies’ speaks of a man trapped in the city, pining for the countryside, a feeling all too familiar to these kiwi rockers now based in the heart of London. With its driving blues riff and grinding vocals you can’t ignore that at its heart, it is a tribute to apathy. But at the same time soothingly reassuring that “it’s not your fault.” Pale Blue Skies leave’s the listener filled with nostalgia for the countryside, and planning their next sojourn.
